Myenergi Zappi V2.1 with charging cable
The best EV Charger for charging on power from your own solar panels or windmill. Myenergi was the first top brand to meet this need and continues to lead the way. Always equipped with the latest software with the V2.1 model. Very extensive app which can also be used with the Myenergi Eddi and Myenergi Libbi. If you have a dynamic energy contract, the Zappi v2.1 can take this into account. Both wirelessly via the Harvi and wired via an internet cable. Excellent quality and service, with of course a 3-year warranty.
- Contains Dynamic Load Balancing; so the EV Charger automatically consumes only the available power and you do not have to take into account your other electrical devices.
- Can only use your self-generated solar or wind power through ECO and ECO+ mode.
- Extra advantageous charging through the combination with a dynamic energy contract; when you have such a contract the Zappi can charge your car at the most advantageous moments.
- OCPP for backend communication: The Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) controls communication between a charging station and a backend system. Thanks to OCPP 1.6J, a single backend system allows you to control one or more Zappis very easily and this allows you, for example, to view individual charging processes, manage users and bill the charged power. *PLEASE NOTE: Firmware version 5.114 or higher required
- Built-in Hub; this keeps the Zappi's software constantly up-to-date.
- Via the free myenergi app on your smartphone you can read and control the Zappi remotely.
- One of the few charging stations that can be connected via Ethernet & WiFi connection (via the Harvi).
- Maximum charging capacity: 7.4 kW / 1 phase of 32A
- Equipped with a 6.5 meter charging cable with type 2 plug.
- Including 1 CT clamp: which is needed for dynamic load balancing and connection to the solar panels.
- Built-in earth leakage circuit breakers; for alternating current up to 30mA and direct current up to 6mA = Type B.
- Possibility to expand with 3 extra myenergi CT clamps in combination with the Harvi, making the power consumption with the solar panels transparent via the myenergi app.
- IP65; high water resistance and thus extremely suitable for outdoor use
- User manual in English and other languages.
- 3 year warranty.
Myenergi Zappi V2.1 7.4 kW installation
When installing an EV charger, you actually have 2 choices;
1) You can install the Myenergi Zappi ev charger yourself
2) Let a charging station installer install it
In general, we always recommend having the charging station installed by a recognised charging station installer. After all, you don't want to compromise on safety and knowledge. People often underestimate how much is involved and mistakes can have major consequences. A recognised installer has completed the necessary installation courses, often including those provided by the brand itself.
If you decide to install the charging station at home yourself, we would like to give you a few tips.
First, always use an earth leakage circuit breaker with B characteristics, which is always lower than your main connection. Secondly, for this 7.4 kW charging station, use a 3x6mm2 YMVK cable for inside / in conduit or a 2x6mm2 YMVK-as ground cable for outside. In addition, you can connect the Myenergi Zappi with dynamic load balancing and/or the solar panels in two ways. Via a Myenergi harvi, you can connect to the Myenergi Zappi wirelessly via radio frequency (not wifi) up to a distance of 15 metres. If the distance is longer or this situation is not suitable for a wireless connection, the Myenergi Zappi V2.1 can also be connected via a data cable. Would you like to see the consumption of the solar panels in the Myenergi app? Then you will need 3 additional Myenergi CT clamps and these can then be connected to the fuse box via a second Myenergi Harvi or an additional data cable. For a distance longer than 15 metres, you will therefore need 2 data cables.
Have you also checked whether you still have enough space in your fuse box? This is because the earth leakage circuit breaker takes up 4 modules, as does the power booster, so an expansion box is often needed.
