The Easee Charge Up is a EV charger of the Easee brand. It has a smart and compact design developed in Norway. Features a charging capacity of up to 22 kW, by a type 2 socket. Anytime and anywhere online via Wi-Fi or 4G, using the Easee APP. Dynamic load balancing is optional by the use of the Easee Equalizer. Suitable for business settlement and all charge cards. A Scandinavian quality product with a 3-year warranty.

Easee Charge Up 22 kw wallbox installation

When installing a Easee Charge Up 22 kW EV charger, you actually have 2 choices;
1) You can install the Easee Charge Up 22 kw ev charger yourself
2) Let a charging station-installer install it
In general, we always recommend having the charging station installed by a recognised charging station installer. After all, you don't want to compromise on safety and knowledge. People often underestimate how much is involved and mistakes can have major consequences. A recognised installer has completed the necessary installation courses, often including those provided by the brand itself.
If you decide to install the charging station at home yourself, we would like to give you a few tips.
First, always use an earth leakage circuit breaker with B characteristics, which is always lower than your main connection. Secondly, you will need a power cable for this 22 kw charging station. In this case, that is a 5x2,5mm2 YMVK cable for inside / in conduit or a 4x2,5mm2 YMVK-as ground cable for outside. If you want to activate dynamic load balancing, you will need the Easee Charge Up with it. Because it only connects via Wifi, you don't need a data cable.
Have you also checked whether you still have enough space in your fuse box? The earth leakage circuit breaker takes up 4 modules, as does the Easee Charge Up, so an expansion box is often required.

Easee Equalizer

The Easee Equalizer is a small, smart device designed to optimise your charging experience. The Equaliser connects to the (smart) energy meter and automatically ensures that the total amount of electricity between the Easee charging stations and the household or business is optimally distributed. This allows you to charge smarter, safer and faster. This also allows you to use more Easee charging stations for electric cars in one location.
