A DC charger - Why a good choice?

A DC charger is a charging station that charges your car considerably much faster than a normal charging station. You can often find these DC charging stations in well-known and public places. Think of shopping centres, petrol stations or at an office building, for example.

Often, a charge post dc is also seen as an investment. Owners often set a fixed charging rate for the number of kW, which is easily settled at the end of the session at a dc charging station. Due to fast charging, a higher amount is usually settled at and DC charging station, which makes it interesting for investors.

At Wallbox Discounter, we offer DC charging stations from 50 to 240 kW. This already from a price of €17,950 (please note that this is a refurbished model). Our DC charge posts will be highlighted in more detail below.

Why choose a DC charge point?

  • Fast charging compared to a normal charger

Frequently asked questions

What are DC charging stations?

A DC charging station is a charging station that charges a car much faster than a standard charging station. In addition, a DC charging station is also considered an investment.

Can you charge DC at home?

Normally, DC charging is only done at points where there is enough power available. Think of commercial and industrial environments. So it is not possible to add it to the home installation.

What is the difference between AC and DC charging?

DC charging is rapid charging of the electric car. This is often done at charging stations on the motorway, for example. AC charging is ‘normal’ charging, think of charging the electric car at home or at work. The charging capacity is a lot lower with AC charging than with DC charging because AC charging uses alternating current, whereas DC charging uses direct current.

Can any car charge DC?

Any car can charge DC. Only because the current does not need to be converted, DC charging is faster than AC charging.
