Wallboxes for homeowners' associations
The government has set various objectives to become more sustainable in the coming years. One of these objectives is to stimulate emission-free driving. To stimulate electric driving, owners' associations now receive a subsidy to seek advice from an expert. With the SEEH scheme, owners' associations can recover 75% of the costs with a maximum of €1,500. Applications for the subsidy can be submitted from January 2022.
The following step-by-step plan gives you guidance during the process of setting up a future-proof charging infrastructure for your owners’ association.
Phase 1
Step 1: The preparation
Firstly, a work plan must be made. In order for the process to run as smoothly as possible, it is important that the final treatment is well prepared. It is important that the owners’ association members are involved in the process. The work plan also serves as a substantive preparation for the entire process. The work plan consists of the following components: obtaining information about the possibilities, the costs and the support. We can always help you fill in the work plan (*only in Dutch).
Step 2: Charging needs and support
In this step, the future charging needs must also be considered. The number of electric cars will only increase in the coming years. In addition, support must be created within the owners’ association. Probably not everyone in your owners’ association has an electric car, but everyone has the right to vote. Safety is an important issue for many people. Our expert can also give full advice on (fire) safety.
Step 3: Parking situation sketch
In this step, the model regulations are first looked at, this is important during the decision-making process. For example, the turnout percentages and the votes required for approval differ per regulation. An overview of this can be found in the legal toolkit (*only in Dutch). After that, the parking situation is looked at. Our expert also helps to determine to which meter cupboard(s) the charging stations can best be connected.
Phase 2
Step 4: Planning for the realisation of charging infrastructure
In this step, we map out what it will look like in the future. This can be done, for example, in the form of a drawing or floor plan. This then shows where the wallboxes will be. The costs for the wallboxes and for the installation situation are tied. Further information on the costs, the financing model and other options can be found in the brochure.
Step 5: Finding a suitable supplier
When purchasing a wallbox, it is important that you choose the right provider and supplier. They must be high-quality wallboxes as they are widely used. You can contact us for more information.
Step 6: Decision-making
In this step, the above points are walked through. When all information has been exchanged, a meeting of owners is scheduled. After that, the decision is taken and finally the minutes are sent to all members. The decisions can be recorded using the tools in the legal toolkit.
Phase 3
Step 7 and 8: Realization and monitoring
In these steps, it is important that the owners’ association ensures that the wallboxes are installed correctly and meet the requirements. The owners’ association is responsible for the maintenance of the wallboxes and must supervise this itself.
