Popular Easee charging station models

At the moment, we at Wallbox Discounter offer two different charging stations from Easee. These are the Easee Charge Lite and the Easee Charge Core. From the outside, no difference can be seen, but under the casing it is definitely present. Both chargers have a compact size of 26 x 20 x 11 cm. However, load balancing and use with solar panels is an optional feature for these charging stations. Through an Easee Equaliser, it is possible to charge with solar energy and to install load balancing.

Below, we explain both the Charge Lite and Charge Core more in detail.

Easee Charge Lite

The Easee Charge Lite is the most well-known model from Easee. The charger has a charging capacity of 11 kW via a type 2 socket and can be set from anywhere remotely, as the Charge Lite can connect to Wifi or 4G. The charger is easy to use, as only the charging cable needs to be plugged in. If you are still looking for a secure charging station, the Easee Charge Lite can also be locked with the Easee RFID key. The charging station can be wall-mounted or mounted on an Easee mounting post.

Easee Charge Core

The Easee Charge Core is the more powerful variant of the Charge Lite. Although the exterior looks the same, the Charge Core offers a charging capacity of 22 kW (3 x 32A). Like the Charge Lite, this charging station features Wi-Fi and 4G connectivity. This allows you to control the charging station at any time, from the free Easee app.

Easee charge station installation

Installing an Easee charging station can be divided into four different phases:

Mounting

To install the Easee home charging station, it must first be opened. Only then can the backplate be mounted to the wall. The backplate can be fixed to the wall with the 4 supplied wall screws. Next, external backplate protection must be added. This is RCD Type A protection. After adding the backplate protection, cabling comes next. The cables to be connected should first be stripped so that the copper comes into view.

Configure

To configure the charging station with the app, the Easee installer app can be installed. Once installed, two charging location settings can be selected from within the app, namely:

- Create new charging location (for a new location)
- Update existing charging location (for a previously used location)

After choosing, you can follow the instructions in the app to complete the configuration.

Mounting & closing

Attaching the Easee charging station is done in the following 4 steps:

Switch on the power to energise the terminals of the backplate.
Remove the sticker with PIN code and store it in a safe place.
Insert the Easee wallbox so that it fits precisely into the slots on the backplate.
Press it down forcefully until a click is heard.

Once the Easee charging station is attached, only the cover needs to be closed. Five steps are used for this:

Hang the cover on the top of the backplate and let it fall into place.
Press the bottom of the cover until a clicking sound is released.
Bend the cover down.
Turn the screw at the bottom of the cover. This ensures that the Easee charging station is protected from exposure.
Close the cover. If the cable has to be fed in from the bottom, you can cut a hole in the cover to complete the installation.

After completing the installation, the Easee charging station is ready to be used. Below we show you one more time the functions of the charging station.
